Abdoulmalik ibrahim zeid, Ph.D. - Head of school
Dr. Abdoulmalik Ibrahim Zeid is a professor of French literature at the University of Djibouti. He earned his doctorate in Comparative Literature from the Université de Limoges in 2004, with a dissertation on French travel writing about Djibouti in the 1930s. His research focuses on Francophone literature, colonial discourse, and cultural identity, and he has contributed significantly to the study of Djiboutian literary heritage.
He loves to contribute to the development of literary scholarship in Djibouti, mentoring students in research on African and Francophone texts. In this next chapter, mentoring and assisting with leadership at ISD, he will put his many years of service in education at our disposal.

Dr. Abdourahman Yacin Ahmed is a Djiboutian academic currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Languages, and Human Sciences at the University of Djibouti. He is a specialist in French-language African literature and has played a key role in shaping the university’s strategic development. He brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the school.
